Hello ^_^

To those of you who know me, nice to see you on Deviant Art now that I finally got an account on here.

And to those of you I don't know, I say: Salut! Hajime mashite ^-^ (basically saying hello in french and nice to meet you in Japanese). Yesh, I love to play with and learn languages. I know a little bit of French (2 years of it in high school) and I want to learn Japanese (which I will hopefully start over the summer).

Anyway...what else can be said about me to those who don't know me at all or don't know me that well...?
-I'm in college as a Biology Major (with a concentration in Marine Biology) and a Psychology Major...so yeah, I'm insane xD
-Personality wise, I'm a bit introverted, a multi-geek, a little weird, normally calm and content, optimistic, and generally nice...though I've got a wicked and sometimes perverted sense of humor. I'm also quite sarcastic and can say the meanest/funniest things without ever meaning to Furthermore, I can at times be quite wise beyond my years and can be really philosophical when it comes to certain subjects. Oh yeah, and I've got a huge imagination ^_^
-I love video games. I prefer RPGs, though I'll play just about any game that has a good plot and good gameplay.
-I love to read; always have since the ripe ol' age of 2 or 3. I enjoy writing too, even though I get into a bad habit of starting stories and never finishing them ._.; And whenever I'm stricken by the muses, I can write some decent poetry as well.
-I like to draw, mostly cartoons and chibi anime people, but I hardly have time nowadays (or I just don't feel like it xD). I tend to be OCD about details whenever I draw, so drawing a single picture usually takes me a very long time to finish (which is why I could never be a comic or manga artist- I'd take waaaay too long drawing a single panel o.o)
-I'm a lazy bum a lot of the time. Sleeping in or staying in bed all day is a favored pastime of mine. But I also like running around outside and doing physical stuff as well. Two sports I'm involved in are SCUBA diving and Kendo, or Japanese fencing if you will.
-I'm a musician. I play the oboe and the English Horn (and no, English Horn does not equal French Horn- It's just a bigger oboe with a round bell at the bottom and you play it using a bocal instead of just a double reed). I can also play the flute. I've played in band since 6th grade and fell in love with playing music. I especially love playing solos or performing in small chamber groups ^^
-I'm fascinated with astrology and things such as tarot. For those interested, I happen to be a Scorpio Earth Dragon (combined Western and Easter zodiac signs)
-I love Mythology. I'm more knowledgeable in Greek myths than anything else, but I know a few of the Roman myths and I'm becoming a little more aquainted with Japanese myths and folklore thanks to a little game called Okami :3 And speaking of Japan...
-I'm really into Japanese pop culture. Anime and manga mostly, but also the music as well. I'm also fascinated with the Japanese culture in general and hope to visit Japan one day (if I can ever afford it *sigh*)
-I love animals and want to work with them once I'm done with school. Not as a vet, but as a trainer or field researcher (I'm partial to dolphins, orcas, and the big cat family)
-I tend to ramble...like I'm doing now o.o;

So, in short, all I can really say about myself is that I'm an optimistic multi-geek with a huge imagination that likes a whole mess of things and tends to go on rants and rambles. I can't say how often I'll update, but look forward to some of my art in the next two weeks (I'm going to browse around and try to find some of my old drawings to post on here). I can say that most of my art will be just drawings of my Sonic characters and CLAMP-style chibis, though I'll also be trying to draw anthro furries as well (namely my own Star Fox characters ^^). With that said, I'll go ahead and end this rambling journal entry of mine.
