Okay! First submission! Don't pelt me please! *Runs in hides*
This is an uncolored sketch I did for a friend of one of my Star Fox characters, Aki (she is the heroine in my first fanfiction on fanfiction.net...which I really need to continue o.o)
Personally, I like the job I did on her head ^-^ The rest of her body and the weapons...meh, could've done better. *sucks at drawing bodies about 90% of the time* It was also a bit rushed. I dunno if if I'll put up her colored image or not, but for now I just wanted to post it.
Note: I also kinda struggled with editing the picture and might've made it a bit small..then again, I'm kinda new to using a scanner and picture editing stuff, so I hope to get better as I become more familiar with it
A very great work for a first submission, I like it a lot ^_^; congrats for it.

Ooooh, very nice I can offer plenty of advice as far as anatomy goes, but that would depend on how you prefer to portray your anthros; for instance, do you want to go by animal head-body ratios or human? Do you prefer digitrade or plantigrade legs? And so on.
Aki is very cute nontheless Snuggleable XD;

Yesh, yesh, I do apologize Good news though, I have started writing again :3 (and this time I was able to save before the computer crashed!) I guarantee to have Chapter 2 up by next week. Problem being that I wasn't sure where to go with the story until more recently. Now I'm trying to write and draw as much as I can before I have to go back to school. So don't worry, it shall be updated! No more procrastination!...at least not for a while xD

Heh, thanks ^^ Though I must admit, in the fanfic she's not exactly a snuggleable type..xD (Actually, she'd probably threaten to hurt you if you so much as touched her o.o) Then again, I don't think I could draw that just yet...
I'll take any advice you're willing to give xD I guess for head-body ratios..I'd be shooting for more of what they do in Star Fox (more human-like). And what's the difference between digitrade or plantigrade? ...*officially dubs self an artist noob*

Digitigrade and Plantigrade are actually zoology terms Digitigrade legs are hind legs on animals in which they stand on their toes, such as that of wolves, dogs, cats, deer, etc. Plantigrade legs are those where the whole foot would be on the ground, such as humans, bears, possums, etc.
When it comes to anthro art, often times style is applied as according to the artist when he or she choses to give his or her anthros digi- or planti- feet. Some chose to mix. Most of the StarFox characters have plantigrade feet, but General Scales and the SharpClaws are digitigrade.
As far as head-body ratios for StarFox characters, they're actually closer to animal ratios; Fox himself has about a 1:4 head-body ratio, which is about the same as an upright non-anthro red fox. (Adult) humans are typically 1:5-1:6, and that is typically the ratio I do my own anthros.
It's totally up to you to do anthros in any way you'd like I'll give more tips when you're ready for more XD;
